What does the State of Utah require to become a Real Estate Agent?

You must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or its equivalent. It is required for agents to take a 120 hour pre-licensing course. There is also a background check as a part of the application process. If you have anything on your record you have to disclose it to the Division when you apply for your license. It you have concerns about your criminal history an/ord need clarification on what will hold you back from getting your license, please contact the Division of Real Estate or click here (download the Candidate Handbook and the qualifying questions are found on pages 8-9).
